I have found that spiritual groups tend to attract those that wish to create conflict. Their intention is to stop. Stop what. Anything that they can. Anything that is
perceived as a threat to their survival. Those on the spiritual path are a threat because they are making themselves more capable than this person believes he can
be. One method of handling is to simply ignore them. Don't even read posts from them, or in the case of face to face, deflect them elsewhere. Another method of
handling is to find their true intentions, which may be as far as to see you dead, but is always something meant to do you in in one way or another. Once it is brought
into the open they are not able to hide anymore. The game is over. You won. They move on. A key to locating these types is if they try to introvert you time and
time again. This is a trick to cause you to look internally and not notice them for who they are. Once you can see the game for what it is it can be a fun challenge.
This kind of person will not be able to, without great effort, make personal growth progress in this lifetime. If you try to encourage them toward growth you will find a
very slippery slope that drags you along with it. I tend to focus on those that are impacted by such a person, as opposed to working on the person directly. It ruins
his game and cause him to move on. All the better.
