Hi Kate,
There is no such thing as an entity of a separate self - thinking and acting as
if such entities exist is what suffering consists of, such thinking and acting is called "conditioning". This is what Shakti in the course of events burns out.
And there are many experiences of a unity that underlies all - before this unity
is natural and permanent the mind-body has to be transformed: that goes under
many terms, from alchemic wedding to the union of Shiva and Shakti, nirvana or moksha.
Because burning out of conditioning and transformation can happen simultaneously,
it can be difficult at times to get a clear view :)
With conditioning burned out, mind-body transformed, happily functioning whenever,
wherever is natural...
