Our acts of justice resonate on this earth in Karma and came back to us in
the form of terrorism. We inflicted our definition of justice that never
suited the recipient and never will. We have nurtured enough anger against
our acts of justice to finally bring this anger to our shores.
Retaliation will only validate their claim of our bullying justice. To do
nothing would cause them to think again. There is a reason other peoples and
other nations hate us -- it did not come out of thin air.

As l have stated many times, in this and other forums, America has made
its share of mistakes which have no doubt contributed in its own way to the
world's suffering. But its good acts have far, far outweighed the bad, as
anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of history knows, and it is more
responsible than any other nation for whatever sanity exists on this planet.
The world is to an unfortunate degree
populated by the Hatfields and the McCoys, locked into old and complex
relationships of conflict and hatred. As the world's leading superpower, it
has fallen upon the US to be forced to act in countless situations in which
every decision is fraught with negative consequences in either direction --
situations in which every attempt to act wisely is limited by the long
history of conflict that exists in every region. The middle east epitomizes
this.
lf it requires a certain amount of sophistication to understand
the mistakes and flaws of America, it requires even more to appreciate the
incredible difficulties and burdens of acting as the world's leading power,
as the one power everyone holds accountable for straightening out every mess
on this sad planet.
l don't know where you live, but
while you are philosophizing you are probably enjoying the protection of a
country which is under attack by bloodthirsty, fanatical terrorists bent upon
its destruction. Not content with Tuesday's carnage, they attempted to board
the first flights out of New York yesterday in order to take thousands of
more innocent lives.
Yes,
every fanatic's hatred comes from somewhere. Hitler's came from somewhere.
Hey, maybe he did get screwed over by a Jewish banker on his way to declaring
genocide on all Jews. And actions by America (and others) have surely helped
fuel the flames of hatred in the middle east. That in no way justifies these
terroristic acts or should determine our response.
l find your comments lacking discrimination. l cannot take the time
to say more on this, other than noting that most civilized countries, having
thoroughly condemned these acts, are in the process of joining the US in an
alliance against these terrorists. Apparently they don't share your views.
