On 2001/09/14 06:48, Nick Masters posted thus to the K-list: I do appreciate your perspective on this matter. There is truth in what you are saying, but the timing is not the best.
If a man has his hand cut off, the first reaction should not be to point out "look at those people with no arms". Or to even further say, "you helped cut there arms off
and so you should have expected this". First one should help to bandage the hand to relieve the bleeding, and allow the person time to heal. Then one should, in
my opinion, let the person come to their own realizations about the event. The thinking of "my tragedy is worse than your tragedy" is of no benefit and could help
maintain a negative attitude and not allow proper healing to take place.
My reaction is not an emotional one. I can be as detached as the next. I am perceiving this event from a higher level and see the potential for much good to come of
it. It's a matter of choice. We're in a game together. The choice is how to play. I would prefer to play in the next level up with a win-win philosophy. It seems that
the game of many is of the nature of this dimension of the win-lose type. Hopefully learning will come of this and a higher realization achieved.
Thanks for the post Tony. It's nice to see others perspective.
with peace and love for all,
Nick
