Yes, I have been thinking along the same lines too, like probably
many others.

Here is what I wrote earlier to some friends:

How many people died yesterday? (mostly american, but certainly too,
people from every country in the world)
Thousands?
Tens of thousands?

This is making the headlines in the whole world...

How many Africans are dying, day after day, year after year?
Millions?
Tens of millions?

The whole continent is dying of AIDS and starvation.

Yet, so little is spoken about it.

The difference is a matter of power. Political power and, mostly,
economical power...

You're right: the pentagone, the world trade center... those are the
political and economical power that many of us are fighting (in our
case, mainly by offering a better solution), hoping to replace them
with something more humane, more loving...

Would this at last be the wake up call?
