Over the years, there have been quite a few folks on this list with epilepsy
and migraine (I've had the latter for 40 years). The geometric patterns are
fascinating to me -- Hildegarde of Bingen saw them, too, and made drawings
out of them. Recent studies have correlated temporal lobe epilepsy to
transcendent experience. I believe these unusual brain patterns open a
window for us and agree that they are a tremendous gift. Holly
