Here are some notes on laminates and lamination:
1. Laminate sheets are typically 1/16" or thinner.
2. Laminate sheets may be paper, plastic, metal, or even photographs
floated beneath a protective sealer.
3. Laminate sheets are applied to a substrate using adhesive and
pressure. Some lamination processes, however, use heat activated
adhesive and pressure.
4. You can find laminates in the most unexpected places... as in the
day I accidentally laminated my forearm with spray mount and
newspaper. Oops.
Which brings me to the topic of effigies... and thoughts of full-body
lamination.
delaminatedly yours,
Nina
