Subject: [K-list] Re: Surrender Meanings...
From: Nina
On 2001/07/16 04:10, Nina posted thus to the K-list: Interesting. What does this sound like? (I asked myself...)
Sounds like: surrender is losing your eyeballs to faith.
Sounds like: a homily I once heard at Carswell Air Force Base Chapel
on faith above all else. That time, used to promote the Catholic
Church. Ironically, that chapel also served the Methodist crowd.
(hehe, the cross with Jesus crucified rotated out of the curtains
behind the altar to reveal a cross with no Jesus crucified... this at
11:00 am sharp, when the Methodists took over the church... rotated
back at 12:00 pm sharp, when the Catholics took over again. This sort
of thing happened in every single one of the Sunday School
classrooms, as well.. and in the "coffee hall".. hehe, my first
lesson in the tides of "faith"..)
Sounds like: God/dess is outside of Self.
Sounds like: God/dess is at odds with Self.
Where is the wholeness of this?
How is denigrating ego any more "right" than denigrating your body?
Of dwelling in one area of your Self to the exclusion of others?
Cat, there is a quality of your words I do not wish to negate... what
I am reading in them, however, brings up questions. I welcome your
response.
