I have been thinking that maybe "surrender" means more than
the common connotation of it......like with the concept of forgiveness.

I think that forgiveness is really about relationship healing, not about the
injured person making a formal pardon. It's like - there are two levels,
one where the injured person decides to let it go, and the next one up,
where it's possible to heal a relationship. Sometimes relationships cannot
be healed, so all that can be done is for the injured person to let it go.
But, it is also possible for the injured person to choose to just "let it go"
without pardoning. So, that is why I think it's really about relationship
healing.

Maybe "surrender" isn't really the right word for it........is it really
more
about.......joining? Or maybe it's a combination of that and removing one's
own obstacles , the better to do the first.

Anyone care to expand?
