What I dont understand is someone conveying a less than peaceful existence in
a rather public writing in front of 600 or so enlightened people, and then
pretending to believe no one is here to listen and who would not convey that
they were listening.

It was clear to me that you had a need to convey a need. I responded in the
usual fashion we are accustomed to here. If someone doesnt like it, then
delete it, ignore it, fight it, eat it... whatever suits you. Even "thank
you" would work. I just put the shoe out there. No one is making anyone try
it on.

The best way to avoid advice is to isolate yourself from others.
