I agree, duality and non-duality, have no meaning except to weigh one
thing against another. Conceptually, the idea of non-duality versus
duality is so reminiscent of the "good vs evil" concept - us and them
- you know, judgemental opinionated thinking. ;-)
How about process? The movement of energy appearing as infinite forms
in the formless void - you know - life and stuff! :-)
When in relationship what do we do? Do we see the 'what is' or do we
see what we believe we see? :-) Ah, and have we any choice in the
matter - of what we believe to be the 'real deal'?
Do we have any choice at all? There are some belief systems that say
we choose to be born into a certain life to learn certain lessons. So
what? Even if it is true, the fundamental question doesn't get
answered. You know - where did all this stuff come from anyway?
Now, that is a doozy of a question! A real humdinger of a poser! A
confounding conundrum...
On the one hand there is absolutely no reason for anything to exist
and on the other hand there is absolutely no reason for anything not
to exist.
We might say that existance came into existance just because it could.
Hmmm...silly gibberish - isn't it? :-)
Ever stay up all night and watched the sunrise? Spectacular isn't it?
What does religion or politics or social norms have to do with that
beauty? Not a darn thing! The universe is unfolded beauty for the sake
of beauty.
Suns, star systems, galaxies are all being created and destroyed on a
scale that we can only pretend to imagine. Species and civilizations
beyond comprehending come into life and fade away - all the time,
everywhere.
So why are you and I and every other beautiful human being here? Do we
have a purpose? And if we do, is it to murder, enslave and control one
another? Or, were we created just because we could be created? You
know - for the fun of it? Just to see how many, if any of us, will
rise above the biological imperatives of physical existance, develop
and discard beliefs, delve into the mysteries of life, try and fail to
figure it all out - to finally realize that it is more than good to
be, just be.
We are not only looking at the stars, the stars are looking at us!
Hey! So life is shitty sometimes and just when you are feeling fat,
dumb, happy, and right with the world things go ka-blooie! Ot just
when things are at thier lowest and it seems like there aint no way
you're gonna make it no how - some incredible stoke of luck or
kindness comes your way and phew! what a relief!
Hahaha - then somebody tells you that it is all an illusion, all in
your mind - that you do not exist, nothing does. Or, better yet it is
all GOD's will and you better get right with the Lord cause if you
don't boys and girls, there's gonna be hell to pay! ;-)
And you still don't remember choosing to be here - on this particular
planet - for any particular reason - and the universe in all of its
splendor has created untold billions just like you! All unique and yet
all the same....
And when your butt itches real bad, I mean real bad, who gives a damn
what the meaning of life is! HAHAHAHA! Isn't it better to learn how to
wipe one's ass so as to prevent unwonted itching than to become
enlightened?!
