I was healed by getting to name the Whatever in any way I pleased...
I went through a different name a year for about seven years,
until I ended up with Her name that I use now, which has felt right
for about three years. The first name I gave It was a real hoot-
such a different concept than the one I evoke now using a different name, but
it was healing for me at the time.

If a person is alienated from some aspect of Self due to gender baggage,
I don't think healing that alienation is quite so simple as using a
gender-neutral Name, although ~picking~ the name
to be used is an empowering act and seems to be a step on the
way for some of us folks.
