Absolutely

and to hold on to a label or name exclusive of any other
  by which to call that which is nameless
  is to reflect to the world all the other possible names
  which are excluded ...

and this is the point that I am making ..

To continually refer to the totality of the whole by any gender-specific name
  exclusive of the other gender ...

  can be a reflection of all issues with the opposite gender ...

  It becomes one's personal Mantra ..

Now .. if one were to write God/Goddess/All_that_Is ...

but to separate one from this descriptor
  is to disclude all other aspects ..

again .. which came first .. the energy or the gender used to describe it ..

down through the ages, various names are used in different cultures to
explain the Trinity of the Deity
  Creator-Sustainer-Destroyer ..

Western Tradition (and the western translation of some Eastern Tradition)
  holds the opposite of the Eastern Tradition it translates.

now, this is also interesting ..
  because human has labelled the "womb-carrier"
  female ..

Male and Female ..
  also refers to the Right_Hand and Left_Hand Spirals ..

Now .. lets take Kundalini for the moment ..

If we look at the energy of Kundalini in the body,
it is the destroyer of illusions of separation ..
and the restorer of the male/female balance.

  If it is referred to as Female
  then it can never restore the repressed male
  aspect of the balance
  and Female can only be female
  and never whole ...

DNA Research has also established that there can
be both Males and Females with the XX factor ..

That you don't need to have a Y chromosome to be male ..

  The only difference is that XX Males are infertile ...
  and the Y chromosome is destroyed by a gene
  in the X chromosome.
