I am not going to mirror your comment .. not this time ...
"Christopher's "respond to absolutely everything I say" contradicting and
condescending tone is a complete match to the way my son interacts with me. "
comment .. because, in this post, there is a totally different tone in the
energy
behind your words.
I totally agree with your "most therapists don't have a clue"
and I honour the work that you have done so far
with the symptoms displayed by Catalin.
especially the recognition of the gifted aspect
of apparent (or labelled) autism ..
At the risk of treading on very thin ice here .. I would like your permission
to contribute something .. which may assist in the resolution for Catlin ..
not to detract from what should be very proud achievement
for you in the raising of your son under difficult circumstances ..
and perhaps ask a "leading question" or two which may add a few extra
pieces to the jigsaw .. and may shift the dynamics of the relationship
between the two of you ..
However, I will not do this uninvited ..
so I await your reply ..
I am happy to provide
this material either off list or on ..
