Everyone wants to change every one else. But I think God gave everyone their own
self to do with as each self sees fit.
You know that thing about suckling Cris's breast??? The thought of Cris having
milk in a "big boob"breast is not a pretty sight. I'm kidding Cris!
Back to the drawing board.
I let a lot of people all my life up to probably 40 yrs....change me. I used to
wonder who I really was. I looked inside one day and found 99 actors all playing
their parts so well, and I couldn't find the lead part in the script that I was
meant to "really" play from the very beginning. I rebelled. Shouldn't have had
to. Men thought they owned me body and soul, and that I had a lot of nerve acting
like I belonged to me, and not to them. I used to think my son belonged to me as
if he were a possession of mine. He rebelled at an early age remembering when I
had rebelled over the same thing. That one really woke me up. Which makes me
realize that my husbands probably weren't aware of treating me as if I were a
possession like the car or the hunting dogs were.
I really don't mind any more. Now that I look back on it I hadn't a really good
sense of self at the time. Now I would probably let roll off, kiss him on the
nose, and decide what to have for dinner. It's all attitudes.
People mean well and think they know better than others what those others need. I
sure don't think I will be led by the nose anymore. It's cost me much too much
over the years. Just call me ol serious sides. But from now on if I make my own
decisions, and find I chose wrong, it is MY wrong choice. I'm in this world to
make my bed and wipe my own nose. I'll offer another a Kleenex, but I won't wipe
their nose for them unless circumstances call for it. Maybe I'm a cold turkey or
something. I don't know. Pepper
