Will have to give it a shot, although I am wondering how this is supposed to
work. This is just the usual experimental + sceptical me speaking.

Yes, and I wonder: What is it about Sanskrit that it works rather through
sound patterns than words? From what I gathered, a lot of Sanksrit words are
rather difficult to translate because there are no corresponding words in
other (modern) languages that would convey their whole meaning. Try Om for
one.
