So sorry that the doctor 'dissed you. BTW, have you been checked for mono?

The doctor was trying to do the responsible thing by bringing up birth
control. You made it clear to us that you didn't need the lecture, but
doctors see many, many women who DO need it. I worked in an abortion clinic
for three years, and it was shocking to see how many women abuse their
bodies and have no consideration for the lives they can potentially bring
into the world. I regularly counseled college-educated, middle-class women
who'd had eight or nine abortions and numerous sexually transmitted
diseases.

Anyway, good luck, I hope your throat feels better soon!
