Dear Angelique and list,

I gave each option of the reality poll a good and honest chance,
but found that there is so much more to what r-e-a-l-i-t-y encompasses
than what any list of options, however extensive, may be able to offer.

There is at once
Grand Reality
as well as
Small Individual Reality,
simultaneously shared
by "One and All",
so mysteriously interwoven
and intricately interlaced.

There is *THIS ALL*
that we discover as original TRUTH
at the penultimate instance of Enlightening Realization
and *only this*
that we can just see through some tiny peepholes
through a blindfold that does not seem to be our own,
at a moment of intense loss of sense of self.

And even when we do not rise so grand in knowledge,
or fall so deep in ignorance or forlornness,
when we just keep it on a kind of 'tidy human scale',
we still discover that each of us
is such an intricate and intimate part
of every one else's personal reality.

This is at the same time,
"too-complex-to-be-simple"
and
"too-simple-to-be-complex".

Might it not be, that we as humans living here and now
cannot really grasp the full extent of reality
within and outside of this actual instance of existence?

I agree with Michael
that we are short of at least one option:
"None of the above."
Another option would have been good too:
"All of the above."
As well as (Why not?)
"The opposite of... all of the above."

.........

Come to think of it,
is there not a bit of
anthropo-centric megalomania
behind the idea that we as humans
have such a hand in reality
that we can say something sensible about
our involvement in its creation.

Our hand in it?
Jesus' temptation in the desert
had quite a bit to do with this,
He said amongst other things
to that what tempted him:
"Get out of here..."
