:)) Or, perhaps, I feel that many lurkers here might possibly take these
posts (and those from most of us LOL!) a little *too* much like gospel. Much
like Angelique noted: "how many members felt empowered by this thread
suggesting we are all victims of our DNA? How may felt disempowered,
frightened, nervous, afraid, self conscious?"
Ultimately we are each our own "Guru." And when we follow any one leader or
theory, I believe we get into trouble. That's what I like about this
list--the varied ideas, thoughts and experiences. When we get too much of
one person, we lose that healthy mix.
I've been out of town the past week--traveling down the coast getting some
wonderful sun and sea. :)) Missed most of the fireworks!
Regarding your mother, Fiona, (and I've been in your shoes) I hope she will
take some anti depressants. When someone insists on suicide it's often due
to severe depression (even though it doesn't appear as such). You might also
try talking to her about her youth--what the happiest times of her life were.
(without mentioning DNA LOL!) She just *might* be trying to get your
attention. It would be nice for you if you forgave her (and perhaps visa
versa) before she died.
