I bet you, all people on this list (and for that matter anybody) would do
whatever is possible at that given moment... in that given situation...
given all the gifts of strengths that may become available OR given all the
sudden deficiencies that may show up as fake posturing will vaporize in such
situation.
(In Dutch: "Sommigen laten zich van hun beste kant zien, anderen vallen door
de mand. Any Dutch reader who wants to translate that into English? (I tried
the spell checker but that did not work :-()
All the pushes and pulls of life would be activated... all the gears of life
are at that moment already active, and depending on the 'when and where' the
grease may be gritty between those gears.
What do we know? We may even be surprised at what a non-therapeutic person
would do.
And yes, some will walk, some will piss their pants, some will be cool, some
will listen, some will just take the gun, some will say: "When you are done
I've got another job for you... you are 13, hmm? I have this contract..."
This is so very hypothetical this scenario "If... what then..."
I have been pointed a gun at, am still alive, so is that man..., a good
family man now in Bergen Holland.
I have been threatened to be knifed, am still alive, so is that man (a 23
year old then), now still a disturbed person, quite drugged and at times
very loving.
The tent in which I slept as a little kid on our first campingtrip was set
on fire by my father... He died in great peace last year, he asked me to
help him pass on.
I was discarded to die during the hunger winter in Holland in a German
occupied hospital, have been able to compassionately let the man find peace.
This is real stuff... what you ask is hypothetical...
Where do you want to go with this?
What would Bill Gates say to this 13 year old? "Where do you want to g...?
Where do you want to go with this Christopher... what is your point?
With all due respect ... but sometimes you just make me wonder... there is a
point that many of your readers on this list are trying to help you see...
and you know what... ?
You are not listening... the very thing you would profess to do with that 13
year old kid.
What's the dif...? Do we have to be nutcases for you to lend us an ear?
We are listening to you, we are... and we respond...
Are you perhaps like that 13 year old, quite likely not able to hear... or
doing as though SHE* is
but... trying to manipulate your pants off.
That did happen to me (although she was quite a bit older and the attempts
were pretty serious)... I am not talking hypothetical here.
So I learn and learn and learn... and remain lovingly...
