Subject: [K-list] Mother .. the bigger picture .. part 1

Well ..

that thread certainly stirred up a lot of emotion and quite
a bit of activity on the list ..

But, rather than comment further, individually to each reply
we received on list or off list, I would like to comment generally ..

I do not disagree with anyone who posted ..
for each has a response to the stimulus of the written word ..
 according to their own perspective ..
 where they are in their life ..
 where they have been and come from ..
 their own conditioned or learned responses
etc etc etc ...

A perspective or belief is, in many ways, a perceptual filter,
a bit like a set of coloured glasses we wear which causes us to
see the world around us .. tinted by the colour of the lens.

The bigger picture can only be seen by taking the glasses off
so there is no colouration in the field of vision.

To see something from the perspective of another person
requires one to find the exact tint of the glasses that the other
person is wearing .. and look through that lens ..

These glasses are worn both in front of the eyes .. and also
in that part of the brain which translates the stimulus received ..
 a function of the right brain ..
 which acts unconsciously .. even before the left logical
 brain has formulated a clear thinking response.

So, the reactions and responses from each to the stimulii
that Fiona and I presented are not judged by us as being wrong ..
but as part of the kaleidoscope that is human nature ...

Everything contains vibrations and memories .. and that can include
something as simple as a cup .. or a piece of furniture...

These memories come from the awakening of something deep in
the unconscious .. or they are the actual vibration carried in the object.

There have been some I have worked with who have gone through
all of the processes of getting someone "out of their lives" .. as in this
case .. Mother .. but when I go visit them .. look around their house,
I find a piece of furniture, a picture .. a trinket .. some present ..
 One lady I know took her mother's favourite cup .. and used
 it as her own favourite .. and wondered why she could not
 resolve her issues with mother ..

All of this memorabilia carries with it .. unless consciously cleansed,
the unconscious memories of association .. or the direct vibration
of the other person.

How many .. when they sever a relationship .. hold on to a memento ..
and wonder why the other person is always there .. will not go away ..

Have you ever walked into an antique shop .. and gone into the silence
and allowed yourself to feel the ghosts .. the memories contained
in the antiques ..

If you take a 200 year old antique home .. did you ever think that someone
may have been murdered with it .. or it may carry someone's blood ..
and, unless consciously cleansed, you are carrying that vibration
into your home.

The same can be said for the clothes we wear .. the shoes we put on our
feet .. manufactured by child labour in some sweat shop .. the last piece
of underwear you put on may carry the vibration of a child who was
being savagely beaten as s/he was a little slow in adding the final stitch.

Unless you we are conscious of this bigger picture, these are the vibrations,
the energies which we invite into our homes and our environment ..

and in the case of our food .. into our body ..

Have you ever tasted the difference between food that is just served up
from a fast food chain .. and the same food that has been consciously
cleansed ..

 This is part of the bigger picture ..

 What you eat is what is eating you ..
 What you wear is what is wearing you ..

 In whose shoes are you walking
 and on whose bed are you lying ..

How many couples sleep together on a mattress that was handed
down from a parent or grandparent ..

How many couples make love on a mattress that contains the
memories of joy .. or of the rape of the previous owner ..

What is the legacy we hand on to our children
 when we help them get started in life with our
 mother's hand-me-downs ...
