Careful with the Dutch... it has the same effect on me that Morticia's
speaking of French has on Gomez (The Addams Family). ;)

The hearing of spoken Dutch in Brugge provided me with a most memorable
head trip. I was in a country where I expected to not understand anything
spoken to me. Instead, I found that I understood most every word. It was as
if someone had strapped a language translator to the top of my brain. How's
that for feeling one with everyone? Upon returning to French-speaking
areas, I half expected to be able to continue with that uncanniness (no
luck!).

Languages. Yum.
