Just like Mystress, I find these continual hopeless convolutions (including
my own) about biological determinism highly amusing (see remarks below). The
fact that we are all pressed to reach a consensus of some sort reminds me
that few of us have truely grown up. Afterall isnt wisdom about discerning
the differences between things that look alike as opposed to the
similarities between those that dont. [rhetorical] The fact that the
universe turns out on enquiry to be unintelligible only serves to fortify
our ingrained conviction that experience is reality. Remember the universe
may utlimately prove to be irrational! [something I know many of you [like
myself] will avoid dealing with...]

Re: Humour. A brush with the numinous sends the ego into the paroxysm we
call humour...literally a spasm in recognition of the "other" and a "tragic"
recognition thereof that its purpose is in its removal. Yes Angelique,
humour certainly IS the acid test of the truth...but why if that is the case
arn't I laughing?!

Sorry to pontificate like that folks, but somebody needed to stir the
broth...it was going stale!
