Kundalini Awakening: A Gentle Guide to Chakra Activation and Spirtual Growth
by John Selby is a good overall guide.

Gopi Krishna's book can scare people. He had a difficult time of it--and
couldn't find anyone to help. (No K lists back then! :)) ) But it is
good, interesting reading.

Bonnie Greenwell's book *Energies of Transformation* and Lee Sannella's *The
Kundalini Experience* are both really good for an overall view of Kundalini.

You might also try:

*Kundalini Evolution and Enlightenment* Edited by John White,
*Awakening the Life Force* by Swami Rajarshi Muni

And last but not least, *Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi*
