DG: My question though then is for the observers. Do you feel that
sting?
Is it anger, embarassment, shame....what is it that makes us jump up
to justify how we feel about what we perceive? It is usually a parent
thing which points to an unhealed wound in our psyche. Events such
as these help us heal the wounded parts in ourselves.
G: This which feels the sting etc. is simply this ego... that is
all.. all justification etc. stems from ego... and ego is simply as
follows...
Subject: What is Ego
- Ego is that which you perceive yourself to be.. such
as body, emotions, thoughts, etc... You are living your illusions of
truth through the conditions and conditionings of life..
Enlightenment or Realization occurs when you drop all those
illusions.. When there are no longer any notions or ideations that I
am this or that... when you go beyond the transient world and see the
Eternal Formless Constant.. That which holds all yet grasps Nothing..
When you rest within the Constant only then will you truly understand
the transient world of maya... Then you will KNOW that this is just a
waking dream state... And there is no bondage nor is there freeedom
for these are states that are created by mind alone...
Enlightenment or Realization is when you go beyond mind and
reationalizations, etc. ,etc.,when you reach the heart and the
Essence
of Being... For ONLY then do you truly live the life of unbound Anand
(Bliss), and Truth, and Awareness which is Consiousness beyond mind...
True meditation is when there are no longer any thoughts...only the
silence of awareness, no judgements, no rationalizing, nothing but
Pure Awareness...
DG:Talking about it faciliates healing.
G: sorry there must be disagreement on this point... talking about it
only re-inforces the pain and the problem... it self perpetuates...
please forgive the next post it is going to be long but i think it
will be a help on this line.... it is called Ego-Bondage- and
illusions of truth... i also call it lovingly the carburator
manifesto as it was written while my carburator was being rebuilt one
night held-up in New Mexico.... This is what i have found to be truth
in my own path... perhaps it may help others out there.... believe me
i had a "lot" of pain to unwravel.... severe PTSD in fact... post
traumatic stress .... and am happy to say that ALL is well.... all of
the pain in the end helped to take me to face the ego death... and in
the ego death while the illusion of self ends and shatters... also
all the illusions of truth the false conditionings also shatter....
there is method to the madness of all that happens on the path.... so
everyone just hang in there... at the end is absolute Peace, and
Bliss and Truth..... we just need to have absolute faith and trust
and the fortitude to keep on the path one step at a time until you
reach the precipice of the unknown and then have the courage to let
go and fall into the void.....
