Many educators, researchers, professionals, therapists, religions
and spiritual pathways think that theirs is the only correct
formula and will not accept the possibility of what they are saying
being written in a language different to their own.
When I was studying Transpersonal Psychology and Psychotherapy,
one of my teachers said to me ..
"Christopher, I can teach you all that I know. I can show you all
of the references in all of the books that have ever been written.
I can teach you all of the tools used by all of the great
therapists, most of whom are now dead. However, unless you can
apply this learning firstly to yourself, it will mean nothing - not
to you or anyone else - for you will be buried under their tombs
of their tomes."
He went on ..
"At the end of this course, you will sit an examination in which
you will answer some questions I set you. I want to know your
answers in your own words. I want to hear what Christopher Wynter
has to say. What others have said, I can read for myself from the
books. Unless I can read your answers to gain some insight into
your personal understanding, all I can award you is a degree that
qualifies you as a well versed parrot. This is meaningless."
