personally, i just remind myself that the dog might bite me so say hello
from the other side of the fence and keep my distance. that way, i dont have
to worry about wether or not he would bite at all :)

pondering... to what extent should we intervene if we see the dog biting?
[if at all] not as simple as it seems sometimes.
perhaps the answer is to show the dog it need not bite ?
