Hey Cat!
Your post reminded me of a full moon phenomena that I used to witness. Years
ago when I was in college, I was a cocktail waitress at a blue collar bar.
Our customer base was primarily composed of working men drinking brandy. It
never failed, when the full moon came out, someone would start something
inside. It could be as simple as drinking to excess; or it might be a fight
with another patron. It also seemed that the "weirdos" would come in. I know
it's judgmental and unenlightened, but that's what we used to say!
Isn't it strange sometimes that you can completely forget about a period in
your life? I rarely think about my waitress days. Yet, I know that there
must have been some characteristics I developed as a result of dealing with
drunk people and men who wanted to pinch my butt. But what these
characteristics are I really don't know! I do remember when I finally got my
first "real" job after I graduated from college that my thought was "I will
NEVER waitress again!" And I haven't! It was good money for me at the time,
but the environment does take a toll on your body and mind.
