So you will take as gospel the words of a folk singer rather than go to the
effort to study intently the words of Jesus for yourself? If you were to
study the words of Jesus, look at the entire picture, you would find an
enlightened Being of great compassion who was greatly misunderstood by the
ignorant masses he tried to help. He has been misquoted by many. His words
have been taken out of context to justify every type of cruelity perpetuated
by power mongers. The few simple truths he had to tell have been turned into
the mighty business of religion that profits greatly in his name and has
much power in his name. Jesus was not the perpetuator of the cruelties done
in his name. But rather, he is USED to justify the deeds of those acting
from ego and desire for power.
Whenever an enlightened person comes into this world, many will
misunderstand what he is saying. Many will seek to profit from MARKETING
what appears as "different and spectacular" under the heading of religion,
or perhaps for the purpose of selling a song? Jesus has definitly been
marketed, misunderstood, misquoted, and USED.
Jesus was a Yogi in this world. Much of what he said was spoken from a place
of higher consciouseness. Those who speak from a place of higher
consciouseness are misunderstood by others, and MISQUOTED by others who
cannot understand. If you really wish to understand Jesus, you must be
willing to study both his words in scriptures, and correlate the truths he
spoke with the truths written in the Gita. This will take much effort and
the true desire for understanding. Those who have gone to the effort to do
this studying have found that Jesus speaks the same truths as the Gita.
Jesus was a very high Yogi in this world. Have compassion for a truly
enlightened Being who has been cruely mistreated in this world, and
continues to be cruelly misunderstood, misquoted, and used. Christ
Consciousness is nothing more or less than higher consciousness;Oneness with
Spirit. "I and my father are One." Study and learn.
