I felt sad to recently read some articles about witch hunts and executions by burning. It shows an unfortunate side of humand nature, that is also evident in the atrocities of war throughout human history, where each side felt itself to be an instrument of God. But there is no spirit in any of this. It shows how far mankind has strayed from contact with the Inner Spirit of God in each of us. It also shows how badly the teachings of enlightened Beings, such as Christ, have been corrupted and misused.
Have we progressed? There is still much evidence of corruption in modern organized religions. Human nature still dominates in many who claim to be spiritual. "By their fruits (deeds) you shall know them". Where there is violence, power plays, intolerance, disrespect, lack of love and empathy, the spirit is lacking.

If we recognize (speculate?) that human nature is flawed,and the root of all evils, then how do we change human nature? Is human nature slowly changing, or do we only wish for the impossible?

Is it possible that this plane is meant to be home to all the same type of spirits who have a similar nature? If that is the case then the same types of spirits will always inhabit this plane. Then, the only way to escape the "nature" of this plane, is to rise above by improving oneself, to rise to a higher level of consciousness, to a higher energy plane.

It is obvious that enlightened beings have tried to raise the level of this plane by their teachings. Has it done any good? Has anything changed?

I would be interested in reading other people's ideas. My words are only speculation.
