Well... it seems to be a bit of misunderstanding here. To be *initiated*
according to my definitions is not to be a member of a certain society nor a
group, it's simply a stage of evolution or experience causing spesific
configurations in our higher bodies. That is, a person can be *initiated* to
a certain degree, without even knowing it consciously, without having even
any knowledge of any esoteric *doctrine*.

However, what you just said sounds like a very perfect definition of
initiation to me! Whenever we overcomes attachments to the world around us,
the more detached we becomes from every bondage of limitations in the
physical, the emotional or mental realms, the more we begin to live the
world *after death* in our everyday life. The two worlds blends, unites...
This is what I call initiation: The Yoga (unification) of these two worlds.
Just as sleep is called the *brother* of death in ancient Greek tales, and
we develop the ability to be awake during deep sleep, such is initiation to
experience what we otherwise would experience *after death* in the living
world.
