The Dance

only an empty heart can be filled
with glittering stardust
your vase is broken
scattered shards
melting in the twilight
tears of sand are shed and gone
of your former self
nothing remains
not even the shape of your empty heart
naked embryo of tomorrow
can you feel it?
the noisome clamor of silent resurgence?
imperceptibly
life is beckoning
you cannot help but follow
observe
there are spiral dimensions
of your own self
which are as yet undiscovered
come back to the present
recognize your self as a wave of energy
as a dancing atom in the cosmic ocean
you are
vase, wave, dance,
pain, anger, sorrow,
fire, water, stone
transformation, shapeshifting, freedom,
vase, wave, dance,
hawk, tree, whale,
awaken, drum, joy,
sun, moon, wolf,
vase, wave, dance,
bones of the earth, flesh of the animals, blood of the rivers,
breath of the skies, heart of the human, song of the soul,
tapestry of life, flight of the archetypes, whisper of consciousness,
vase, wave, dance,
vase, wave, dance,
vase, wave, dance,
dance, dance, dance
dance
there are spiral dimensions
of your own self
which are as yet undiscovered
come back to the present
observe
your heart
no longer empty
your vase
no longer shattered
can you still hear the receding pulse of the dance?
