Dear Hillary and Other Dreamers,
I'm glad this came up. A little over two years ago, a few months after
my K breakthrough, I was asleep in bed when I was woken by a strange
sound and sensation. It was like a high pitched electrical sound... like
when you tune in a short wave radio. It had the feeling of a beam coming
into my head. It was over in a few seconds.
The incident didn't alarm me. To the contrary, it was rather enjoyable.
I sat up in bed and just thought , "Wow. What was that?" The sun was
just coming up and as I recall, it turned out to be one of the better
mornings of my life.

Yes, these was something technical... "alien" about the event. I've
never experienced anything like it before or since (however, I've seen
some things, very strange things in the sky years ago... that's a whole
different topic for another list, perhaps). This gets into a very
interesting, complex area. Personally, I believe that abductions happen
on a number of different levels; some physical, some psychic and some
astral... some all of the above.
Needless to say, these sort of encounters rock a person's world and
cause them to reconsider their view of reality and the Universe. You
really do feel alienated and alone. But this is one of the kinds of
spiritual emergencies that can lead to awakening... and eventually to a
community of like minded souls. Also, as Mystress pointed out, one can
be awakened directly by the encounter.
Like that that wonderful man in China said many centuries ago, "These
are interesting times we are living in." (a beautiful understatement).
