Cynthia:
They are not necessarily the same thing. It is apparent that you are
dealing with both, and they do overlap.
What is occurring, is that the Kundalini is bringing up these old
issues, so they can be released and healed. The key to healing is
surrender, and gratitude. If you can find it within yourself, to offer
thanks that these old issues are coming up to be healed, so that you can be
free of them, then the process will become easier to handle. Gratitude heals.
Surrender is sometimes a harder concept to understand. Surrender means
to "give up". Stop fighting your symptoms and let the K. do it's work
without interfering. Surrender is essential when dealing with K., and
resistance makes the process more painful and difficult. It is natural to
resist what is painful and what you do not understand, but you must have
faith that what is happeneing truly does serve your highest good. I like to
say "Goddess has it handled".
I suggest you use a simple phrase to help surrender these old issues
when they come up.
When you are in a mood swing or regressing, say out loud "Goddess (Or
God, Jesus, Buddha.. whoever you have faith in) Please take this, (emotion,
pain, whatever) . It is a *gift*, for you. Thankyou very much!"
Then take a deep breath and focus on having faith that your Divinity
will take it away, and distract yourself so that your focus on the emotion
or memory is not an attachment to it.
You refer to whatever is being surrendered, as a *gift*, so that your
negative attitudes toward what is occurring are not an attachment.
All of life is a gift of God-dess, Love does not judge.. we do. It is a
Divine gift that these emotions are coming up to be healed. Even tho the
"surgery" may be painful, it serves your highest good, in the long run.
When you have surrendered things, then say, "Goddess, please take
these spaces where that stuff used to be, and fill them with your Light and
Grace. Thankyou". Otherwise, the surrender may make you feel kind of
"empty". Nature abhors a vacuum, so fill the spaces with Light. Gradually,
as you continue to do this, things will get better! You won't lose the
memories of abuse, but they will lose the emotional "charge" that makes
them painful.
Do this, many times every day, as often as you find yourself
experiencing problems. Stick with it!
These symptoms: " spiritual insights, confused
emotions, flashbacks, insomnia, sensations pounding up my spine, hot head
and cold hands and feet, swings of ecstasy and depression, regression to
age of abuse, and arms and legs violently jerking uncontrollably when
relaxed." Are probably Kundalini-related.
I'm not a psychiatrist, so I cannot tell you which symptoms are PTSD
only. As a survivor, I can tell you that Kundalini will heal the PTSD,
given enough time and faith. However, if you are working with a
psychiatrist, allow them to do their work, too. There is value in both
approaches.
The jerking is called "Kriyas" and they are part of the process of the
old memories held in the body releasing. Allow them to happen, and don't
worry about them. They serve your highest good. Cold is often emotional
energy releasing, hot is the healing energy. Cold hands and feet could also
be related to poor circulation caused by the muscular tension of stress.
The spinal sensations are Kundalini. The mood swings are common to both.
Kundalini does cause age regression, I have even been taken back to
remember my own birth! So that pre-birth issues could be released by
surrender.
It would also be helpful for you to learn to get grounded. The URL to a
page that will teach you to do this, is below.
The grounding visualization for awakening Kundalini is at
http://www.domin8rex.com/serpent/spirit/ground.htm
or
Please visit this page when you have 20 minutes to relax
and do the meditation, as the page is "charged" with Shakti
and keyed to be released by your free will choice to visit the page.
Blessings, Mystress.
