Millennium of Choice
2,000 years of search for Self.
Tears. Loss. Regrets of time lost.
Craving for the touch of another human being ..
the ancestors cry.
All that is lost to me and mine.
Birth, Death, Procreation ..
Cycles of continuation.
Comfort in their beginnings and endings.
The whole question of WHY?
Futility of being alive.
Loss of a loved one in death.
Why am I even here?
Can't compete with the dead.
Can't even be half alive.
Loss. Regret. Ageing. Death.
What else is there?
Searching for connection.
Looking for another.
Too hard to look to Self.
Self seems empty .. lacking.
Lacking in its mirrors.
Dawn of a new millennium.
Who knows if it really is?
So many lies. Half truths.
Give up .. return to foetus.
Body is full of lies.
DNA saturated with lies of the past.
Future unknown.
Simply instruments in a far greater orchestra.
Bigger picture .. in the cloud forests.
Dawning of the Age of Innocence.
Innocence remembered.
2000 years of carrying the cross of the crucifixion ..
right across the shoulders
down the back of the heart ..
bleeding from the solar plexus.
Was anymore asked of the Children of Israel?
Wanderers in the desert .. seeking only
a small glimpse of the Manna
that was their birthright.
Body tired of the fight to survive.
DNA contorted trying to assimilate a religion that
takes no prisoners.
2000 years of the God outside.
Dare it be real in the body ..
Real-ised in consciousness as no more that
a marketing ploy?
Holy Grail kept alive by sheer act of will.
Essence of innocence and purity kept in the
higher planes of consciousness .. hidden.
The mirror of its light would blind
those who tried to own it .
Let alone see it in the flesh.
Only in visions .. the eternal quest.
Mythology and reality have melded
and given birth .. what potential?
Time now for the sacrificial lamb to come down
off the empty cross of space and time.
Time to bury the dead and let them rest.
Sacrifice has gone on for far too long.
Search for the Beloved is over.
The small still voice is speaking .. can it be heard
above the continuous chatter of the ego?
The wake up call is there for every man,
woman and child on the planet.
The flame was ignited for all the world to see
in the Sydney Olympics.
It will not be doused again.
And what a marathon it has being.
An endurance test for the flame that is innocence.
Passed down generation after generation but
clouded for so long by words
and expectations of outcome.
There is none now.
A living flame is testament to that.
The cross stands empty.
A symbol .. a monolith crowded by the spectres of
lifetimes of empty corpses given in sacrifice.
Was is worth the sacrifice?
Part of the blooding?
As the clock ticks .. the tributes to Caesar
can now cease.
Enough sacrifice.
The Age of Innocence dawns.
Another 2000 years.
The circle is complete .. there is closure.
Consciousness has returned whence it came ..
but not in blind faith but with full understanding
of why it had to remain hidden.
With understanding comes release ..
the DNA spiral is halted.
The scribes stand poised .. no words.
Just empty pages.
No script.
Time to take up the pen
and make it you own.
As is the wind, the sea, the sky, your breath ..
it belongs to no-one.
The Age of what you make it.
Let the dead be buried,
Calvary stand as a silent monolith for an age past.
The Future?
The script belongs to you.
Freedom ?
No..
just Choice .. your choice
