Dear Carol,
It sounds to me that your consciousness is wonderfully wide as it is! :))
Coincidentally, I've been reading *A guide to Shaktipat* by Swami Shivom
Tirth. He says "There is always a sense of I-ness present while worshipping,
reading and listening to religious books, engaging in spiritual discourse,
practising Japa, Tapa (penance) or the Asanas (postures) and Pranayams
(breathing exercises) of Hatha Yoga, but after the awakening of Kundalini
through Shaktipat, Sadhana (spiritual practices) become automatic. The sense
of I-ness is replaced by a sense of perception and the actions are equally
replaced by automatic movements.
He later states that once Shakti is activated, practices drop automatically.
He does not advocate any sort of spiritual practices but to "surrender to the
spontaneity of all active energy."
He's talking about Shaktipat, here, and not to spontaneous awakenings. But I
think it equally should apply to them, also.
On the other hand, I continue to do Hatha Yoga, but my exercises are
something that I'm pretty well driven to! LOL. So in away they, too, are
spontaneous. I have never meditated, so can't really answer whether this
would be a positive thing for you. Can you ask this question while you are
meditating? Perhaps the inner guide will give you your answer.
[So far it has been pleasant and never something to fear. I have
read the account of Gopi Krishna! I suppose I will trust in the goodness of
Light and delve into this on the basis of that trust.]
I would doubt you have anything to fear! :)) Gopi Krishna's experience is
frightening, yes, but I suspect you already have bypassed these difficulties.
Your energy seems to be on the right track. and I agree that trusting is
the key.
Ulitimately, though, I tend to agree with Jerry when he writes "but l see no
reason for you to exert special effort in order to achieve anything where
kundalini is concerned.
lt's best to let all of this happen in a most natural way, especially in view
of how well your process has gone so far."
It's easy to become impatient with one's "progess", though, until we remember
that we have already arrived.
Love, Hillary
