For one day ...

can we as adults
look at life ..
through the eyes of our children

For one day

can we as adults
allow for ourselves to experience
Christmas .. through the eyes of a Child ..

not necessarily as we remember it

but as our Children can experience Life
without our expectations
our hopes
our fears
our projections on them ..

For one day,
can we remember our innocence ..

The birth of a baby in Bethlehem
is not about a savior coming.

The Bethlehem babe is a mirror
of what we each are,
the honor and homage
and care and divinity
of each human.

This is what the story is valuable for.
If we miss that, then all else is deception.

There is more wisdom in a tree before it is cut down,
processed into paper and covered with the written word.

There is more inherent wisdom in a child,
if it is allowed to be heard ..
than we can possibly teach it
by cutting it down to our size
