Subject: [K-list] Once there was a Celebration of Life
From: Fiona
On 2000/12/23 03:47, Fiona posted thus to the K-list:
Based on the information that Christmas was not 'invented' until
the 4th Century AD and the main purpose was to rival and subjugate
the rival pagan rituals is it any wonder that so much distress
starts to come out of the bodies of people around Christmas at the
absolute farce of the whole 'celebration' and the lie that has been
perpetuated.
Particularly as the Winter/Summer solstice is so close, its energy
will bring up in bodies the deep genetic memories of the
celebrations of the natural life cycles of the body and the world
in which it lives .. mother earth and father sun. The celebrations
that eventually disappeared .. repressed.
The growth of the Christian tradition saw the demise of the so
called pagan rituals that celebrated the life cycles of the planet,
the surrounding planets and the sun. Rituals that celebrated the
life and death cycles that sustained life on the earth .. the
ultimate 'mother' of every person.
Solstice ceremonies that recognised a much bigger picture than the
one presented by the Holy Roman Empire which was intent on
maintaining its hold on the beliefs of its followers. And with the
control of its followers, came political and economic advantage.
Pagan rituals became outlawed. People stopped acknowledging the
gods in every living place and piece of the earth. There was to be
only 'One True God'. People lost touch with their roots .. quite
literally. The earth they stood on and the air they breathed became
the property of an intermediary. That was the only way they could
communicate with their god.
The symbols of Christmas, as we know it, originate from the Middle
Ages.
One story of the tradition of the Christmas tree was that it
originated in Germany with the Paradeisbaum, or Paradise Tree in
the 1590s. With December 24, Adam and Eve day in the medieval
church calendar, plays about the couple's fall from grace were
performed to highlight Christ's birth as the coming of the 'second
Adam' to redeem the failure of the original. A main set in the
play, the paradise tree, a fir tree, became popular in homes
especially after the plays were banned.
From Germany the tradition of the tree spread to other European
countries.
The body remembers and each Christmas the mirror is reflected ..
of loss of connection with mother earth and the death blow dealt to
native genetic origins.
The dichotomy of the festival that celebrates the birth of a child
who will then be 'crucified' 3- 4 months later to 'redeem' them for
their 'sins'.. even though in the eyes of the church no person is
ever good enough and most of the 'saints' had lives of poverty or
endured dreadful deaths at the hands of those who would later
beatify them
the senseless waste of one child's life as the sacrificial 'lamb'
and the millions of others who shared the same fate in the name of
control and prime real estate
and underneath all of that ...
is the memory of when sacrifice at the Solstice was made to
celebrate life and death and encourage growth whilst acknowledging
the completeness and wholeness of all cycles and inter
connectedness of all creatures to a vast array of 'gods' No one god
was greater than another.
The body remembers ...
The energy released at the Solstice and at Christmas triggers the
memories of a very deeply encoded memory of fire, blood, sexuality,
and life force surging in connection with the pulse of the
heartbeat of the planet in its purest form.
The life force connection sought to affirm existence of more than
flesh and blood and of life beyond the mortal plane..
the life force that was attempted to be harnessed by control of
the mind whilst ignoring the elemental fact that the body responds
so innately to the energy of the planet on which it lives.
The body is joined by an ether umbilical cord to earth, sun, moon,
and the stars from whence it came and will return .. at solstice
with the changing of the seasons ...the body remembers
Flashing electric lights, tinsel and a tree in a pot shedding its
life are poor imitations.
With the birth of the Christmas tradition came the birth of
intolerance for anyone who was different... any other religions who
had a different world view.
The Pope announced only this year that people who died and not
catholic were no longer prevented from going to heaven as there
had been a rethink on the dogma that had been in place for a very
long time and had previously stated that they would not go to heaven.
The intolerance of Catholic's for others who were not of the faith
can only be gauged by the lack of tolerance for Catholics by other
religions.
The old 'my god is greater than your god' ...
Never more alive and celebrated than at Christmas.
Any one with genetic blood of Muslim, Jew, Buddhist is going to
feel the isolation and separateness of not being part of the
festive celebrations
Spiritual ego given birth to and embodied by the celebration of
one of the most successful marketing campaigns ever mounted.
The silent code of superiority and elitism that hallmarks the
'good catholic' who believes that if life is lived according to the
guidelines set down by the church there will be an eternal reward
.. what about the rest of the population?
that doing 'good' will bring its own rewards that any other
religion is 'pagan' or 'heathen' ... the 'poor' things .. the
followers of evil ..
Ego born of this thinking can justify any action and it has ...
The crusades, the holy wars are still being fought, but now the
arena is global.
People sending light and love .. trying to heal other ..
projecting on others they have only met in cyber space and trying
to get into their bodies .. are rooted in the ego of 'I'm better
than you' and "I will do whatever in my power to control you" .. a
very familiar litany.
