| Dear Angelique,
| I was extremely touched by your honesty and sincerity of your
struggle
| with your family. It is truly a beautiful gift you have to remain so
| sensitive to yourself and truth even under such a barrage of unrelenting
| eminations of hatred or self-righteousness.
Yes, isn't she lovely?
| I just recently visited your website and found your "Kundalini"
| awakening page to be highly useful -- I plan to use it frequently in the
| coming weeks.
Yes, her grounding meditation is always highly recommended.
So is this:
http://www.fire-serpent.com/
| I am a new member on this list and my name is Chris Seidel. I am a
| Second Generation member of the Unificaiton Church (also referred to as
the
| Moonies), although my belief system has become almost completely separated
| from it. For all the 22 years of my life, I have never dated another
woman
| because of the strict dogma prohibiting ANY sexual relationships outside
the
| context of a Unification Church Marriage (which basically entails a
partner
| "chosen" for you, often from another country, by the Reverened Sun Myung
| Moon). It was this, as well as my family's strict adherence to the
cultural
| standards of the church and their warnings to the ultimate dangers of sex
| that kept me from showing my real feelings to girls outside of an
extremely
| guilty conscience.
Not being American nor Korean, the only thing I know about the Moonies is
from a book I happened to read a couple of years back. To say the least, the
book being critical of this Church, I can't claim to have any objective view
about it. I don't know how accurate the facts presented in the book are or
to what degree they have been exaggerated.
From what I understand, and from one you seem to be saying yourself, one
needs a lot of courage to reclaim one's freedom. I wish you all the strength
and the courage you will wish for to boldly go all the way along the path
you chose for yourself.
As far as sexual repression and guilt, this happens to be one of the few
areas where I have my share of experience that is non negligible compared to
that of the other members of this list (in all other aspects: bliss,
spiritual advancement, wisdom, psychic power and even childhood abuse, I am
far short of reaching my co-listers' ankle!). You see, I happened to have
grown up in another sect who is very good at sexually repressing their young
ones, by means of guilt and other threats of divine retribution: the
Catholic Church.
Thank God (the one with a linguam, and who can best understand me), I have
grown out of fear-ridden sex now.
If you feel like it, we can exchange views on this topic.
| I am grateful to have found your list, and hope I have not been too
| forward in my first email... it is this committment to personal honesty
that
| I wish to uphold, ever more.
100% personal honesty is part of the unwritten guidelines of this list.
Your comments are most welcome.
Here is your home, and feel free to be yourself.
(At times it can be quite intimidating to post on this list. It certainly is
for me, when I compare my irrelevant posts to that of my beloved co-listers
who always contribute deep-spirited, soul-searching, inspiring messages...
Yet I still manage to dare being the plain-old-myself! You have already
shown that you are free at heart, I am sure that you will enjoy yourself
here).
Recently, I have been guided (by a synchronistic hint I could hardly miss)
to the following site:
http://www.radicalhonesty.com/index.htm
You may want to have a look at it. You can read online parts of two books.
| A large part of me wants to hate and despise you for what your
| profession represents to my dogmatically-trained mind, but on the other
hand
| a small part offers such genuine and heartfelt deep praise for your
success
| in your search for truthful self-expression.
I had a very similar reaction at first. Not despise but distrust. The woman
in black leather picture did not fit my preconceived idea of what an
enlightened woman should look like. I am ever so grateful to Goddess that
She inspired me to overlook my narrow-mindedness. Angelique is worth it.
| It is only love that I wish to convey with this message, to you
| Angelique, and all the others who have been somehow brought to this list.
Welcome, Chris!
| May your God always guide you,
And you too.
| and your light shine always brighter
Yours shines so much already.
Blessings,
Augustin.
