Yes, similar, but not quite the same.. the golden light is your 3rd
eye.. the colored patterns are often referred to in Shamanism as "The
portal to the dreamtime. Like the tunnel of light seen by NDE's but for
the living. Take a look at aboriginal art, particularly the art of the
Australian Abus and the South American Shamen.. you will see those op-art
geometric patterns. You see them on waking because you are just "getting
off the bus" from the dreamworld, so to speak.
I used to watch the gold and the geometric colors and patterns, to fall
asleep, as a child.. it gave me horrific nightmares of the Portal Guardian
of the Dream world.. altho I never made that connection, at the time.. I
was too young.
A big human shaped shadow that reflects fear back magnified. It
destroyed me over and over, for years until I learned to love it
unconditionally.. and then I *became* it, and that was worse.. I prayed for
the dreams to stop, and they did..
