Dear Wim,
A few years ago now I was walking the dogs through the park. It's a
wilderness type of park where nature is allowed to ramble along a mostly
dried up creek bed. It was a beautiful sunny day with not even a touch of
wind. I was strolling along, with the dogs exploring off ahead of me,
feeling the warmth of the sun, thinking how lovely it was.

My thoughts drifted along in a haphazard sort of way - I wasn't really
paying too much attention to them, just enjoying the day-

" Its just the sort of day where you feel that 'God's in the heavens and
all's right with the world '... very sunday school! :) still, it is
lovely... assuming there is a god of course... hmm...if a tree bough breaks
in the forest and "

And at that precise moment there was an earsplitting noise as a huge tree
some 20 feet ahead of me basically split down the middle from top to
bottom. It fell to one side uprooted.
The birds stopped singing..the dogs way ahead stopped in their tracks - :)
