Wow you sure got a gift in story writing! You must be writing a book
surely? Gosh ...

I felt something special about this November moon too.
This is the first year I celebrated Diwali, the Hindu Festival of the
Lights. We prayed to Lakshmi thanking Her for beauty & abundance. We
lit candles gathered & laughed & shared sweets & smiles. That was in
October but the celebration of the Hindu New Year goes on longer. (I
am not particularly a Hindu but if I feel a resonance I join in).
Anyway I received a wonderful gift in October. It brought light to me.
Last night was the full moon here. In the afternoon was a special time
for me cause a special memory surfaced, releasing some tears. I had
lost a dear friend, gosh, over 20 years ago. It was time to face it
finally & it has been beautiful ... I didn't know I had still held
that in. Anyway I was with a friend soon after - last night, walking
in a park by the moon & there were many tall trees. My friend who is
Indian informed me that in India they are taught in school that all
trees are Saints. He spoke about them with great reverence.
I was thinking he must mean because they have persoanlity & spirit
natures. No, my friend explained that it is said that they stand tall
like Saints with the sun glaring on their backs, yet they protect us
by softening the intensity by providing protective coolness form teh
heat & shade in the umbrella of their embracive arms. (These
particular trees are tall with long arms sweeping down low to embrace
those down on earth). So it has been a special time for me too ..
Oh I forgot Giri explained that the Novemeber Moon is Deva Diwali!
Like Angel Moon. It is special. It felt a special time to me that's
for sure.
