Hello Everybody,
A realization has unfolded in my personal history.
In 1984, towards the end of my rock 'n roll daze when I new nothing
about the awakening process, I wrote a small book called November
Story/Song of the Vortex. It was a fantasy piece about a caravan of
gypsy like artists (each with different, colorful talents) who, in a far
distant time, converge on the top of a hill overlooking the ocean for a
harvest celebration.
A tremendous storm rolls in, ruins their festive plans, washes out the
road and leaves them perilously stranded on the summit. For the next two
days they're stuck with each other and many interesting things come to
the surface.
A vagabond they had given a ride to mysteriously disappeared and they
were besides themselves as to what might have happened to Her.
Did She fall off the cliff?
Did She vanish into thin air?
She always said such strange things about Her origin, but now that She
was gone, they realize how much they love Her.
But was She really gone?
On the third night they were stirred from their sleep by something they
weren't used to: silence. The storm had passed, the wind had stopped and
the once crashing waves were calm.
Lumbering out of their tents, they look up in utter astonishment... the
stars are like luminous diamonds and a beautiful, full November Moon
spreads a glorious light all around them.
Suddenly they all feel a change. Their vision becomes clearer. Their
hearing becomes sharper. Their voices ring like music. Their bodies feel
energized and they dance with super human agility.
The love cannot be contained. They join hands.
They look up at the stars, emerge and travel through time in all
directions. At last, they are released.

Since 1984 the full moon of November has been a special time for me.
Very personal and contemplative. But I never thought I would live the
transformation in '98... some fourteen years after I wrote the story
(just doodling in my notebook on a summer afternoon).
Now after joining this list and realizing what happened with me, I feel
wonderfully haunted by that little book. Now I know how Mystress must
have felt when she visited that ghost town... Wow!!!
So now it's November Moon 2000. This being my personal *big night*, I'd
like to send this off as an open love letter to everyone on this list;
from the founders and moderators to the good people who've just recently
signed on to K Gateway, 400+, I love you all.
It's unfortunate we all live so far apart from each other. No matter.
Our spirits are fused.
What do we do? We work and play. We create, fix machines, help kids and
love our neighbors. We can imagine ourselves in each others company...
sailing boats, riding horses or just walking... and pausing on a summer
afternoon to create the future in a dream or a small notebook.
Perhaps we're not much different from other people. We're just the ones
who ended up with, for better or worse, the radar minds and
glow-in-the-dark bodies.
Love,
Paul
