It was Hot in Texas this summer. I tried as a good little esoteric
e-lister to disregard the heat as non-reality, but eventually I turned
on the air conditioner. The Electric Company sent a large bill. I called

and told them that online, I knew all sorts of Gurus,Yogis, Swamis, and

other great teachers who all spent their time in a state of bliss with
no bills to pay. I told them that I had learned on e-lists, that it all

is "Maya", an illusion, and asked if they would forget about the
electric bill since it and the summer heat really never existed. They
told me that I was in the State of Texas, not the State of Bliss, and
that Maya retired last year, and no longer worked in the billing
department. Then they told me that would be okay if I did not pay, but
that I should not mind if they pull the electric meter. After all, they
said, you wont mind sitting there in the dark, as the electricity and
the light are all nothing but an illusion anyhow. And so, bowing to
their sagacious wisdom I mailed off a check the next day for $122 worth
of non-existent reality;-) "In God we trust, All others pay cash!" Thus

I have learned the Wisdom of the real world!;-)
