I found your post rather interesting, as did some others by the look of things. I'm not a man but I can relate to what you are saying.
From what you say I would say yes, this all relates to your (as a couple) mismatched energies.

It would seem that your partner is polarised mainly in the lower chakras while you are mainly polarised, or shifting your polarisation to the upper chakras.

Esoteric science (Alice Bailey, Dr Douglas Baker) tells us that the chakras are paired, the energy from the base moves up to the head, sacral up to the throat and solar plexus up to the heart. In women there is often a massive shift from the sacral up to the throat at the time of the menopause, this makes sense from a physical point of view because by that time we no longer need to physically maintain the uterus for childbearing. With energy re-aligning itself from the lower chakras to the higher ones it would seem to be a foregone conclusion that the libido will be lessened. Must confess I don't know when this would be a naturally occurring event for a man as there is obviously a different physiology, also the shifting of energy upwards in men and women does not always follow a related physical/hormornal cycle.
The problem with sex, once the hormones of calmed down and we have got passed the stage of - yes I want more, anytime anywhere, is that it is not just an exchange of bodily fluids but a massive exchange of energy. It is the physical aspect of the joining of Shiva and Shakti, our unconscious urge for wholeness by joining (coupling) with one who we unconsciously think has the missing part of us. The male and female perfectly joined and balanced - androgeny. Now, although Shiva (head chakra) sends energy down to the other chakras he will not actually come down and do the deed in the base chakra (home of shakti), she, when she is ready and in her own good time - because us women are like that - makes her way up through the chakras to the head, all the while in eager sexual/union anticipation.
It also seems that (and this is not meant in a derogatory sense) that the lower/weaker will always leech off the stronger/higher. This is how we evolve, the knowledgable teach the ones without knowledge etc, on all levels, which includes transmission of consciousness.
When we have a partner whose energies and level of conscious match our own the physical coupling can be wonderful, sparks, colours, OBE's together, because there is an equal exchange of energies and consciousness, but when there is a "real" mismatch??

I think you know the cause of the problem but wanted it confirming and as for letting go of the relationship, only you can know that one.

Kundalini is already happening, ignore it at your peril! Kundalini is an energy, she WILL have her way with you. If she have moved into the upper chakras, which from what you say she has, you must channel this energy into humanity in some way, shape or form or she will devour you/burn you up.
