Dear Sheila,

Your post did not inflame me - I am perhaps quibbling over meaningless
differences and shades of meaning, please do not take offense -

I tend to believe that one can not create a cookbook manual that will
provide the answers. However, I would not have survived if I hadn't found
Greenwell's book (a guide) after my spontaneous awakening - when I had no
idea about kundalini. The problem is that if you have heard about kundalini
or are actively trying to wake up the snake then you have all of this
information but otherwise - yes you are alone. So in the latter case it is
society that needs to be informed and especially those in a "mental health"
arena where they might find those who are undergoing kundalini but are
unaware of what is happening.

For those who find themselves thrown into an awakening without trying -
then the best advice is to go with the flow and trust your inner self. Of
course having reassuring words and a sounding board around is helpful. This
list tries to fulfull that purpose. I would not want to try to guess the
needs and issues of everyone who is thrown into the void (if I can use those
words). Answers it seems must be individual answers. Awakening to
kundalini has some common manifestations and these have been reported and
described by many and pointers to these resources are available.

I somewhat understand your desire to find some simple words that
explains - but perhaps this is your need - on one level no words are needed.
I do not know what developmentally disabled is, perhaps they are the masters
teaching you - they are spirit - you are spirit - the spirit will provide
the situations that we need to learn - who knows what forms spirit takes.
Spirit likes to joke around and play the fool - there is no need for you to
teach or to guide - just resonate warmth and understanding - some have grown
beyond the need for language and can just be. In that case it is easy,
just be - no words or manual needed. Look to your animal guides to nudge
you into what is the answer (oops that is my answer - do not know your
answer) :)).
