Dear List,

To answer my own poll:

Q. What religious visions/associations/symbolisms/patterns/motifs, etc. have
been part of your K awakening?"

During the first few months, especially, I would have wild colorful lucid
dreams--often with Hindu and Buddhist overtones. I've also had many
pantheistic dreams---dreams of cougars, crows, a mongoose, hippo-Rhinos, and
pastoral dreams of gallivanting sheep/goats. I have never dreamt of snakes,
however. Dreams of fires, explosions and war used to be pretty common, and I
still dream of water--lakes, rivers waterfalls etc. I once dreamt of
paradise in which pleasure was actually something tangible.

I had one Hindu related dream very early on:

"...I found myself in the back of a large pick up .. The view out was
bucolic--a pasture full of cows. I said ... "Isn't it peaceful and
beautiful."
Suddenly there was a huge commotion in the paddock, and coming into view
among the excited cows was a large beautiful God-like Brahman Bull charging
among the cows, tearing at them wildly. I watched, fascinated, for awhile.
People were looking for me so I made my way to a train where some friends
were."

I guess my life was about to change. LOL!

I frequently dream about Tibetan Lamas. Once I was brought to a booth at an
exotic market where a Tibetan Lama chanted prayers.

Christian phrases such as "I AM THAT I AM," "Alpha and Omega," "Rod and Staff
comfort me" as well as Christian based exclamations are pretty constant.

I also often dream of exotic Navajo and Tibetan jewelry.

No visions or symbols per se, though that I can recall.

Q: Did these reflect the religion of your upbringing (or your pre K
religion) or
did they reflect other religions or philosophies?

My parents were agnostic and atheist. I did go to Episcopalian Sunday school
for a while, but I was always rather scornful of religions from an early age.
My sisters are both Tibetan Buddhists, which certainly explains the Tibetan
dreams. I'd say, generally, that they reflected post K mysticism rather than
religion, though.

Q: Did these experiences influence a change in your religion?

Well, judging by the religious "test" I'd have to say absolutely! :)

Love, Hillary
