Hiya Wim,
I am just jumping in again...
I like what you have to say.

afterplay.
yes..that actually can be part of it... people having an orgasmic
quickie during Shaktipat.(although i think you are referring to the
process of Shaktipat as a quickie...although quickies can be fun
too). I have male friends who says they have had erections that could
cut glass during Shaktipat experiences and not just with me either
but with other transmitters. And also women gushing amrita (female
ejaculate) onto their chairs.
I myself have felt it as days on end of arousal but no climax.
That in itself can be addictive. Sometimes I wonder about the wisdom
of the awakening which can be so strong sexually but then, in my
experience, sexual awakenings by k often fly straight in the face of
religious teachings of what is morally right or wrong about sex. If
those fundamental beliefs can be shaken then beliefs about the nature
of Divinity can also be questioned in a liberating process.

Wouldn't it be great if we had Shakti retreats in the West? There
would be a week or so of preparation, then Shaktipat, then
integration/teaching/reassesments/ interventions if necessary. Then
there would be follow up care.
But in my experience Shakti doesn't adhere much to schedules. But, I
have also been privileged to seeing Kundalini rise in just two day
seminars where there was there was a lot of education first.
Guru Mayi often holds week long retreats where during Darshan
Shaktipat is given. But from my experience of being in her NY ashram,
the very ground is permeated with Shakti. The walls, air, the food,
the gardens vibrates with Shakti. A receptive person could just get
shaktipat from eating the food.

Yes... I can see this. Maybe this is why i see more 'gentler'
awakenings rather than roaring up thru the spine like a freight train
ripping the top of the head off stuff, hail Mary, mother of grace
awakenings that people seem to have in India. But that is just me.
snip good stuff...
Alright we are getting there, slowly, but still.

I know, for myself, if I were to go into retreat somewhere, with a
trusted stable support system...my body would go into a cocoon state
and Shakti would finish having Her transformative way with me.
Because I don't live anything close to a monastic life Shakti works
with me in a cyclical matter, mostly on my days off and when I am
sleeping.
One of my most intense K periods was when i was without a job for a
month. I spent most of that month living in the celestial universe
while i felt Shakti transforming my cells.
I don't think that Shaktipat can only be given after the cornerstone
of trust and surrender is in place only because my experience speaks
otherwise. Shaktipat came to me when I was unaware, didnt even know
what she was. My transmitter told me what he did AFTER he did it. I
didnt even know the transmitter or anything about him until after
Shaktipat. Is that morally correct, I dunno. I don't think Shakti
respects morals from my experiences.
I don't know why She honors my 3d schedules. I am glad she does.
I agree that trust and surrender are so important to the k awakening
process. I am addicted to Shakti...I go where ever I find her.
Fortunately, I seem to be immune to the Guru Virus so i dont get
caught up in all that drama.
Just some more 2 cents worth.
Love,
Susan
