Thank you Horia,

Samadhi in my experience is no thoughts or feelings, just silent
bliss devoid of relative content- profound living silence. That is my
daily experience in meditation, and that also coexists with my active
life as it has become the habit of my nervous system to sustain it
over the years of meditation and yoga practice. There is some paradox
in there. No activity and activity combined, unbounded awareness
amidst the boundaries of life. Yes it is so.... that's yoga, union of
the non-joinable... :-)
It is this polarity which sets the stage for the dramatic final
joining, which is the awakening of kundalini.

There are different "grades" of samadhi, but I have never gotten into
making all the distinctions. For me, immovable silence has been good
enough so far. Others on the list might be able to help with the
distinctions between the different types of samadhi, from an
experiential point of view. I'd be interested in hearing more about
that too.

Peace,
Bob
