Hello Dear Friends,
The K-List is very special to me as it was my first on-line community.
Angelique has done a marvelous job navigating it skillfully over many years.
In the beginning of 1999, I started HarshaSatsangha. It is a fellowship of
joy and a hybrid list which discusses the nondual and Advaitic approaches
and Kundalini related traditions in the context of Ahimsa and peace. We had
the List Millennium retreat at the Zen Monastery in Cumberland, Rhode
Island, in the United States. The pictures of the retreat and the attendees
are given in the HarshaSatsangha file section. I invite you to join by
clicking below.

Here is one of the recent Kundalini related messages on the list.
Hi Robert
I don't know anything about Gematria but can give something on the eastern
perspective even though there is some controversy on chakras and the petals
assigned to them. The differences in various traditions also extend to
mantras assigned to different chakras. For example the Hindu and the Jain
Mantras assigned to the chakras are different (Similar seed sounds in most
cases and both approaches work).
The number of petals assigned to a chakra indicates the number of psychic
nerves that intersect there. Gopi Krishna claimed that chakras are pure
imagination and do not actually exist. This is of course true of everything
in the ultimate sense. However, chakras and the number of petals they
contain can be seen by yogis practicing various methods.
External methods of seeing the chakras involve breathing and retention
practices while stimulating the optical nerves and indirectly the nervous
system and the activities of brain and the heart. These techniques are
usually kept secret as they can arouse the Kundalini Shakti prematurely and
cause discomfort and harm when not done properly.
Internal methods of seeing the chakras is through pure meditation on the
energy centers. In certain Samadhis, due to the activity of the Shakti, the
optical nerves are spontaneously stimulated, and one sees one chakra after
another and the different petals associated with them. These are not
imagination in the usual sense but colorful, intense, and precise visionary
experiences appearing in the mind's eye.
There are lot of classical works on these matters. Swami Sivananda's book
on Kundalini Yoga is quite good. There are many others as well. I wrote an
article on Kundalini Yoga some years ago. It might be helpful as well.
